[Daily Blog #11] Circuit Breaker

Monday

We reached the semi-finals in the Singapore Cup, and up against Warriors FC, a club that we’ve not won in our previous 5 meetings. We finally won against them 1-0 to qualify for the final, but Jordan Webb’s now injured…

We’ll play Hougang United in the final, where we could finally win the cup since 2006.

Tuesday

Last game of the season, winning against Hougang 1-0. Jacob Mahler has now joined us, after being released by new Young Lions head coach Subramani. Former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler is set to join Hougang as their new head coach, while former national team head coach Sundram is set to join Balestier Khalsa.

Wednesday

Local legend Fandi Ahmad has made a very interesting move to coach DPMM. If we’re still unable to sign any Serbian players, then I’ll move on to coach Hougang, and have Tottenham youth prospect Shilow Tracey in…

Tampines getting in Blake Powell and Adis Pramenkovic, and I guess it’s time to switch over to the Cheetahs tomorrow…

Thursday

First game of the season against Balestier, Kong Ho Won’s unfit for this game, so he starts from the bench. We won 2-0, with Tracey making his debut.

Kong’s been on the bench for all games due to the lack of match fitness. Against Geylang International, Tracey scored his first senior goal, where we won 2-1, and are now top in the league.

Friday

Five games unbeaten now after our 2-1 win over DPMM. Yet another 2-1 win over Young Lions, though Stipe Plazibat pulled his calf and will be out for 3 to 4 weeks. Next game against Tampines, Iqbal Hussain and Kong finally get their first starts, Faris Ramli only fit enough for a spot on the bench.

Sunday

Lost 2-1 to the Stags. Next game against Warriors, Faris returns as we drew 1-1. Three consecutive wins after a 1-0 win over Home United, as we climbed back to the top of the league. Nazrul Nazari, Hafiz Sujad and even Faris dropped from the national team?

Former Warrior Hafiz Osman replaces Azlan Alipah as the new head coach of Warriors, where he’s likely to be scouting for potential foreign players that are already based here.

Marc Tan, who had a training stint at West Ham, joins Hougang on a two-year contract, and when he starts his NS, estimated to be 2021, he’ll either re-join Young Lions or Home United.

So lots of FM20 action due to Covid, where things will of course get more serious next week onward with the ‘circuit breaker‘ taking place until May. I’ll still try to see if anything’s interesting around, instead of just being in front of my computers (yes, I’ve been using multiple these days).

Until then, stay safe and see y’all hopefully next week! 👋
